News from the GreifenWeg

With the awakening of spring, we also want to start the new pilgrimage season. Inspired by an invitation to the “PilgerCafe`am Abend” at the main church of St. Jacobi in Hamburg, we met in the parish house in Bodstedt with our small group of pilgrims to discuss activities in 2024.

It quickly became clear that we wanted to try something new together. And so the idea arose to spend a weekend in the pilgrims' hostel “Alter Heuboden” in Jager. There is a very nice brochure about the paths around the Jager chapel called “Mit Gott im Grünen” (With God in the Green) by Sabine Petters and Sandra Pixberg. We have already made a reservation and will start on the weekend of June 22nd-23rd.

This year, we will explore not only the well-known stages of the route but also other new sections of the GreifenWeg together.

So there is plenty to talk about and the next meeting for “pilgrim coffee in the evening” is already planned.
